The policy is passed by the Association Counseling Commission on Spring Semester, May 30, 2011.

1. The rules are designed to make the Center is properly used and ensure the rights of student associations to reserve the Center that is managed by the NTU Office of Student Affairs Student Activity Center Management Section.

2. Rules on improper use of the Center and the Demerit Point System are shown as below:

(1.) If a reservation is not being used or further applied to make a confirmation, 1 demerit point would be recorded for each period of time reserved.
(2.) If a reservation is being transferred or exchanged to others without prior approval, 2 demerit points would be recorded for each period of time reserved.
(3.) If a site reserved is not cleaned up, the air condition is not turned off, and other conditions of violation after finishing using, 0.5 demerit point would be recorded for the user on each violation, and maximum of 2 points can be recorded for each reservation.
(4.) For those who use a site without prior reservation approval, 3 demerit points would be recorded for each period of time used.
(5.) For those who use any item without prior approval, 3 demerit points would be recorded.
(6.) For those who eating at a site without prior approval, 3 demerit points would be recorded.
(7.) Except for clean dancing slippers, 3 demerit points would be recorded if wearing other kinds of shoes inside the room with wooden floor.
(8.) For those who damage the site and not recover it after finishing using the site, 3 demerit points would be recorded.
(9.) For those who enter a site without prior reservation approval, 5 demerit points would be recorded for each period of time used.
(10.) For those who borrow the equipment and not return it on time, or bring the equipment to another site that’s not being approved, 5 demerit points would be recorded.
(11.) The fact of using a site is inconsistent with the contents stated on the application, 3 demerit points would be recorded; further if the fact of using a site includes off-campus events or commercial activities, 8 demerit points would be recorded.
(12.) For those who intend to damage the equipment or facilities at the site, 10 demerit points would be recorded.
(13.) Overtime use for less than 15 minutes, 1 demerit point would be recorded.
   Overtime use for more than 15 minutes, 3 demerit points would be recorded.
   Overtime use for more than 30 minutes, 7 demerit points would be recorded.
   Overtime use for more than 45 minutes, 10 demerit points would be recorded.
   Repeated offenders who do not correct their violations, additional 1 to 10 points will be added depending on the severity of the violations.


3. For those who had accumulated 5 demerit points in a semester will lose their rights to enroll online for a reservation. They can recover their rights after submitting review reports.
    For those who had accumulated 10 demerit points in a semester will lose their rights to enroll online for a reservation. Besides, their names will be posted on the Student Activity Center’s multimedia system, bulletin board, and website. They can recover their rights and have names removed after submitting review reports.
    For those who had accumulated 15 demerit points and above in a semester, they will lose their rights to enroll online for a reservation for next semester.
    Records of Demerit Point System will be reset to zero every new semester starts.
    The starting time for every new semester will be announced in school calendar.

4.Besides Demerit Point System, any reservation involves in the events mentioned below, the enrollee will be included as second priority in the list of auditorium coordination next academic year.

(1) Audiences do not leave fully before 10 P.M.
(2) Next user’s reservation time is affected due to some reasons caused by the previous user.


5. If the user has to cancel the reservation, s/he has to report to the Student Activity Center 7 days before the reservation date. For each canceled period of time, 0.3 demerit point would be recorded. If the reservation is canceled less than 7 days before the reservation date, 0.5 demerit point would be recorded.

6. For those who had accumulated 5, 10, or 15 points, their reservation suspension notices will be sent to leaders and instructors of Student Association through e-mail by Student Association Activity Information System.

7. The policy will be effective on the date of being issued after it’s passed by Student Counseling Commission.
